Two Osprey And A Bald Eagle We counted between four and six (probably six) Osprey in the pilings on the Vancouver side of the Fraser. From this picture, it's hard to believe you are looking at the city of Vancouver.

Swallow Inspecting Birdhouse These birds didn't really seem to mind the birders close by - the bird was inspecting a nest box and spent quite a bit of time coming half into the hole.

Immature Female Tree Swallow I believe this is an Immature Female Tree Swallow because of the dark back and dark beak. Immature males have a yellow beak apparently.

Red Wing Blackbird In Red Elderberry I have no shortage of Red Wing Blackbird photos, but it looked so pretty in the flowering Red Elderberry.

Purple Finch Male I believe this is a purple finch, not a house finch. I believe that because the red goes most places (I have a bum picture), the prominent light band on the head and the crest.

Bald Eagle Flying With Bird Remains I figure he is carrying part of a bird because of the feathers.

Purple Finch Female I thought I had seen Purple Finches before, but they always turned out to be house finches. This time I'm convinced.

Common Yellowthroat This bird is a long way away - just spotting it was hard. If it was brown instead of bright yellow, I wouldn't have had a chance of seeing it.

Tree Swallows Mating I have photos of these two birds actually doing the act - this seems a bit more romantic. I can just imagine what she is saying. Surprisingly, this shot is handheld at 800mm.
