Perhaps Velvia isn't the ideal portrait film - It was a raging sunset. Notice the dishelved look of the photographer - one pant leg in, on pant leg out, sleves to long - he is having fun. John Harvey Photo > Galiano Island > Us on the Beach
It's getting late in the day and I poked around taking pictures. A) - my metering was poor, and B) this scene does not lend itself to velvia. I think I need a wider lens (this was 28mm).
