Eggs Cooking Many of the hot springs were selling hard boiled eggs cooked in the spring water. These eggs were 50 yen each (70 cents Canadian) and included a little packet of salt. There was no sulfur taste.

Boiling Red Spring at Umi Jigoku Umi Jigoku is known for it's sea-blue pool, but I found the more natural (and less steamy) rust coloured pool more attractive.

End Of Gorge You can see the volcanic columns that created this place. I love how sculpted the walls are.
