Glaucous Winged Gull Flipping Red Rock Crab
The gull dispatched the crab pretty promptly. He flipped the crab onto it's back and then ripped off the legs. One he had leg holes, he ripped open the shell and ate the body of the crab.
Northern Kelp Crab In Hand
This little guy moved around pretty fast, but liked the top of Mike's backpack. We found others when paddling - they were generally hanging on kelp. Pugettia producta.
Crow In Tree
This was a surprise for me - Around Vancouver we generally get Northwestern Crows, but this is an American crow (slightly larger). The way I can tell them apart is by the hair on their nose.
