We're setting up camp in Lac Le Jeune - we got a double camp site so we could all fit.

This is the entrace to Lac Le Jeune.  Minivan 1 (known as leadfoot 1) is
in front.

We have about 2 hours of sunlight left so it's time to set up.  We had 5 tents in total to sleep the 8 of us.

Breaking camp on the morning of day 3.

Those are corn husks that we laid out to dry, but most of them ended up falling in the
fire at some point. We used Eric's seat pad to fan the flames.

Since we had the poles and rope, and were feeling a bit insane, we had a few friendly (and aggressive!) games of badminton.

I (Karen) can't remember what Mark cooked, but I didn't get sick.

Here comes the tarp! Every year we put up a tarp - this year we used a line to form
a ridge and then braced out the corners. We covered the tables, missed the fire and had
space for the stove - pretty good considering it was hardly planned.

London Drugs didn't even print this photo - It's one of my
favorite pictures of the trip. Light was so scarce and I didn't
bring my f1.4 lens so it was wide angle or nothing.

We arrived at the campsite hours before Jeremy eventually showed up with
the car (and the tents, and the food). Luckily there was a grocery
store nearby (not much wilderness!) and we killed time with lots of cribbage.

Jer was great about making breakfast - he cooked the pancakes and the french toast.

It's a no camp fire area and there are designated camping areas.  This camp site was about 6 inches above the river,
so we watched the river level very carefully.

We are about to leave the camp site. I've come back from doing my laundry and Mark is eager to find a warm breakfast. I got the same effect a few years later.
