Buff Ball Mushrooms
This may be Rounded Earthstar (because of the nipple) but if they are they haven't opened up.

Hericium abietis - Conifer Coral Hericium
When I saw this, I thought it was a cauliflower mushroom (you can occasionally buy them at Granville Island), but looking at my books, I suspect it is Hericium abietis - National Resources Canada's view.

Maybe something Chanterelle
This would grown in small clusters, usually on dead wood. On the return hike, some of the clusters had been stepped on - it made me sad.

Giant And Tiny Mushroom
The scale available in the mushroom world is huge - it was funny to see this tiny mushroom - only mm high, next to the saucer sized mushroom.

Impossibly Thin Mushroom
I can't see how a single rain drop didn't crush the stem that holds up this cap. It amazes me that something this delicate can sucesseed in this kind of environment.

Mushroom Pushing Up
This isn't actually in the bog (you can tell from the cedar strands), but it was close.

Soup
The soup was very simple, but it did have some matsatake mushroom in it - very expensive.

Expensive Mushrooms
To convert the prices to roughly US - drop the last two digits of the price. (For Canadians, we used 1.25) The most expensive mushrooms I can see are roughly $160.00 US.

Angel's Wings on Hemlock

I think this is "Angel's Wings" (Pleurocybella porrigens) but it would be a really old version of it.

Artist's Fungus and Angel's Wings on Hemlock

This tree is on the hike from Cultus Sound to a smaller bay on the other side.
The fungus on the right had side is probably an "Artist's Fungus" (Ganoderma applanatum).  The larger fungus
on the right is probably an old example of "Angel's Wings" (Pleurocybella porrigens)..

Dripping Fungi
I now think this is Gloeophyllum sepiarium - Rusty Gilled Polypore. It was found in a wet log next to a trail at UBC.
