On our first night we did a little driving - first we tried the lovers leap, wonderful
view but not for sunsets.  On the drive back we stopped into Retreat cove and got this!

The government dock was a great place to get some sunset shots.

It was just this calm. This is the saltwater marsh in Montegue harbour. I've been here in other seasons.

This is just North of Montegue Harbour.  The rock seems to be very soft and is eroded by the waves splashing up.

We tried to sneak up on them, but a drive past might have been a smarter technique.  Velvia is not
the film to do this type of shot.

A power boat had raced by a few minuets before and sent a pretty big wake to shore.
The shutter time is about 1/30th of a second (and I believe I had 1 stop of extra time over
matrix metering).

Can you see the hot tub?  You walk down into the gazebo and there is hot tub that could seat
at least 8.  Being early off season, we were the only two people staying.

Those mountains the background are the background mountains to Vancouver.  With a telescope you
can pick out skiers on Grouse and Cypress.

It's getting late in the day and I poked around taking pictures.  A) - my metering was poor, and B)
this scene does not lend itself to velvia.  I think I need a wider lens (this was 28mm).

These flowers were bedded in moss.  This might be
the crocus species "Jeanne d'Arc"

This is at the Saturday Market in Ganges.  The quality of the locally made materials is top notch.  If
I could afford the price tags I world like to give or keep these blankets!
I took another photo of the same vendor the following spring.
