Barred Owl Trying To Sleep
A raven had been pestering this bird so it was awake and looking around at the raven. Us birders on the ground didn't merit much attention.

Great Horned Owl In Cottonwood Tree
There were a lot of smaller birds making a racket - I can understand why the owl was having a hard time sleeping.

Nara And Claira On The Bridge
The Floating Bridge at Swan Lake has seen better days - the decking being eaten by the environment. You can see most of the posts have been replaced recently.

Bushtit In Hawthorn
There were about a dozen birds gleaning the tree of small insects. This one perched for a split second before jumping to the next branch. These are the smallest birds in BC other than hummingbirds.

Four House Sparrows Eating Late Blackberries
I like this image because of the high degree of visual noise. There are two male and two female house Sparrows in the image - in real life it took me a while to find all four and a 2D image doesn't make it any easier. This image really is what it feels like for me to take pictures of the little brown jobby birds.
