Water Alley
The town has hot spring water piped though most of the buildings. This alley had a few leaks causing billows of steams. Most of the streams run warm from the mixed in hot water.

Steam Shed
I think this shed was directly connected to a hot springs source. The hot water pours from tub to tub and people soak some sort of food product in them.

Hot Tub on Deck

Can you see the hot tub?  You walk down into the gazebo and there is hot tub that could seat
at least 8.  Being early off season, we were the only two people staying.

Tallheo Hot Springs

This man made pool collect water from the stream/hotspring that flows into it.  The temperature isn't
as hot as (My book says 32° to 69°), and pool is much more frequented.

Pass the Bug Spray!

The hot spring water flows though garden hoses to this tub.  It was good for an immediate
bath by our fearless captain - Jan!

Once we drained the tub we started scrubbing and scrubbing.

Eucott Hot Spring Flowing into Bay

The hot spring water is much warmer than the surrounding water so it
makes a nice fog bank as it run towards the bay.

Eucott Hot Spring Cleaned

After we drained and cleaned the pool we let it fill up again.
It looks pretty nice - too bad it was too hot!

Slimy Creek from Eucott Hot Spring

This slimy stuff lives in the warmer water that comes from the spring.
This picture is similar to on

Draining Tub at Eucott Hot Spring

We needed to get the dirty water out of the tub so we could replace it with clean.  Thankfully there is a still
working valve at the bottom to drain the pool.

Eucott Hot Spring When we Arrived

The hot spring was mostly turned off and was running in slowly so it was on luke warm.
Jaques thought it was a nice temperature so he went in for a little soak.  You can
see the clay pipe the water flows though to get to the pool.  The remains
of the old pier are visible in the background.

Crowded Pools at Hotsprings Cove

The hotspring flows from the forest over a waterfall and then down several pools until it
reaches the ocean.  The further from the source the cooler the water gets.  When we arrived
there was only space at the end and we worked our way up the pools to the top.

Mark Taking in the View

I imagine this must be the most scenic view from a hotspring in
pretty much all of Canada.

Spring Source

The steam mixed with fog and rain - but the smell of sulfur
told us we were in the right place.

Spring Bubbling

Hot water bubbling out of the ground is always cool - the spring is
bubbling hot and fast.

The steamy atmosphere made this shot tricky - I had to open the door and rush in to take the shot, before the lens fogged up.

Pool At Radium Hot Springs
I asked the life guards and they didn't mind me bringing a tripod onto the pool deck. The pool was mostly empty and no one complained.
