Light Daffodils In Front Of Dark
Wide angle really is a totally different way to see the scene.

Lots Of Daffodils
There was a little breeze so I didn't want to go too low for the shutter speed. It's amazing how little f10 buys you at 105mm (times 1.5 on the D2X)

Marsh Marigold In Stream
Marsh Marigold really likes water. Really likes it. It was funny to see it try and choke out this stream.
Species: Caltha leptosepala (White Marsh Marigold)

Field Of Glacier Lilies
I like how many of these plants come out at the same time.

Source Flowers

Pink Roses With Baby's Breath
I love the little pink highlights on the edges of the pedals.

Poppies And Bird House
I have a thing for poppies and other flowers that seem to survive at the margins of BC highways. There is a sizable tree in the garden providing some mid day shade.

Poppies In The Foreground
A lot of work goes into maximizing the small plots available to people.

Trellises
In the background, gardeners are growing climbing plants (like peas).

Jin In A Field Of Daisies
I doubt gardeners would like all the flowers, but I certainly like them.

And then some areas burst into a collection of flowers.

Paintbrush And Lupine
I really like bright colours so this was a natural photo for me.

Arctic Lupine and Arnica
The purple flowers are Artic Lupine - Lupinus arcticus. The yellow flowers are probably Mountain Arnica - Arnica latifolia, or Hairy Arnica - Arnica mollis - apparently the Arnica family hybrids easily.

Blowing Hairy Arnica
I believe the yellow flowers are Hairy Arnica - Arnica mollis. I've always like blowing flower pictures, but you have to find the right combination of bright flowers and dark background.
