Helen Under Large Tree
That large tree is a Douglas Fir - these trees grow to be huge. Out here, they are often "eagle trees" because they are taller than the surrounding forest and have good solid branches.
Trees Long Range
I had 4 lenses in my backpack and I wasn't going to haul a monster like the 80-200 12km without using it at least once. I've seen this effect done much better but I wanted to at least try it out a little bit before I get really good light.
Tree Beside Hotel
This patch of Lupin really doesn't belong here - it's probably escaped from the Australian garden next door and making a break for the ocean.
