Playing Cards At Table
See that Tent behind Karen? It's was at our first in 1992 on Princes Margaret Island, our previous Manning trip in 1997, Pender in 1999, Porpoise Bay in 2002, on a North Island car trip in 2004 and road trip to the Okanagon in 2005. I'm guessing it's the oldest, continuously used object in my photographic history.

Stylin' With The Sake Cup
Eric has this cool conical sake cup that you can't put down - it won't sit flat. In Japanese cultural, it's OK to offer to pour into someone's cup if they are holding it and the evening usually ends with bunch of glasses on the table with liquid in them so this glass (which you can't put down) is basically open loop.

Andrea brought her mahjong set (I don't want to guess how much that weighs) and it was quite popular for the weekend.

Playing Mahjong On The Deck
What better setting could you have for playing Mahjong. They wanted to play a whole round (everyone is every wind) but David ran out of money before that could happen.

Game Systems
The store that sells this gear is on the second floor. These boxes are set up on the street to attract consumers to the cheaper sales space.

Playing Ping Pong
This used to be the general office for Namu - it had a Bank, the telephone switch board, a post office and the hair dressers. Now it has a ping pong table.
