Barred Owl Triptych
Sunday, January 29th, 2023 at 20:44:25 Owls aren't easy to find - we only found this because someone else said there was an owl near by and we went looking for it. This was a short walk before dinner and I didn't bring my photo bag - just a 105mm and the 50. This is what I could do with what I had. The person at reception says there are three owls currently living in the garden. Species: Strix varia (Barred Owl)

Coyote Walking By
Sunday, January 29th, 2023 at 20:44:09 Coyote should have fluffy tails. This one is pretty bare - generally caused by the irritation from mange. The cool kids could tell you if this is a Mountain coyote or a Coyote Wolf hybrid. I have no idea. Tags: multiple frame image
Species: Canis latrans (Coyote)

Rhinoceros Aucklet
Sunday, January 29th, 2023 at 12:13:49 There are lots of birds identified as the "Northern Equivalent of Penguins". The body shape and coloration of these birds reminds me a lot of penguins. The horn on their beaks makes them easy to identify. Species: Cerorhinca monocerata (Rhinoceros Auklet)
