Western Painted Turtle Near Rock Wall
I really struggled with the question of if this is an aquarium escapee or a wild turtle. This pond is part of the watershed that leads to Blenkinsop Lake and then to Swan Lake - both have Western Painted Turtles. It's possible that this individual came up from those lakes following a stream. Maybe. Species: Chrysemys picta bellii (Western painted turtle)
