Anthopleura xanthogrammica (giant green anemone)

That's a giant (or in this case not so giant) green anemone.

Excuse my english, i speak french, from Québec. You took a excellent sample of pictures of marine life at low tide. I'm fascinated by the botanical beach of Pacific, because i live at the east of Canada, just 4000 Km eastern... Your pictures are dated of 2003. Now with the numeric photographs, you can take some hundreds of that. Me, i did the same work in eastern Québec (Gaspésie), and on the coast of Maine in many state parks. I took a very big lot of pictures of Atlantic botanical beach, closer pictures. If you live near the Pacific coast, i wish to exchange more numeric pictures between Atlantic and Pacific. It's like two different worlds of marine life, and i search the common and different species for both oceans. If you are interrested to exchange photographs, you have my address. Have a good day !
