The grave is for Alan Blackburn, born March 17th 1865, Died April 9th, 1925. I didn't realize that the acronym RIP was actually used on grave stones. This is my grandfathers grave! I was fascinated to see someone had put a photo of it on the web. I have visited his grave on SSI before--I live in Portland Oregon and hail from Roshven,near Lochailort Scotland as did Alan before he moved to SSI.
