This was quite a large mushroom - perhaps the size of a soccer ball.

i found several like this and plan on eatn them.

My mushroom book says this particular mushroom is edible while young, but turns sour. That said, if you haven't positively identified the mushroom (usually with the aid of a local authority), consider it poisonous.
