September 2010
First time camping with the Baby! Cultus Lake is close enough to the city that you can get back in time, but far enough away that they have really good mini golf!

The Okanagan at the end of summer has so many attractions. The farmers markets are full of food, the days are warm and there is still lots of wine to be had (2009)
|
|
Cape Scott is one of those legendary
hikes on Vancouver Island. With beautiful sandy beaches and muddy
trails, we got to experience true West Coast Camping. (2009)
|
|
Otherwise known as my stag, a valiant
band of brothers went
kayaking up Indian arm never to be seen again. Well, perhaps they were
less than 24 hours later exactly where they started. (2008)
|
 |
The Okanagan is one of my favorite places
and
this year we got to go camping there. Lots of fun with wine tasting and
local touring. (2007)
|
 |
We revive the fall camping experience -
with
showers and everything. A local forest fire adds a bit of magic to the
photography. (2006)
|
|
Panorama ridge is a very long day hike
but we made a great
long weekend camping trip. The alpine flowers were out in force. (2006)
|
|
Helen's first "Backpack" camping trip and
my first in a
number of years, we went out to one of the "Big 5" of the Coast
Mountains for the August long weekend. (2006)
|
|
Helen had a few days off mid week and had
never been camping
so we visited two hot springs - St. Agnes Wells as well as Sloquet Hot
Springs. We stopped in to the Skookumchuck Church of the Holy Cross.
(2006)

|
Levette lake is in the Squamish area and
looked like a fun
weekend trip. There are great views of the Tantulus Range and this
lovely lake. (2002)
|
|
We usually try to do something for the
May
Day long weekend
(see Tofino or Salt Spring Island) and this year we
wanted to go camping. The Sunshine coast is new to us, so we
thought we would give it a try! The hike along Campbell Creek was
well worth the time! ( 2002)

|
Sean first discovered the Confluence
project and told us
about the project. The project is to get people to visit
every integer confluence of longitude and latitude around the world and
post pictures on their web page. We chose 50°N, 121°W
because it's close to Vancouver and it didn't look impossible to get
to. We rented two mini vans and Friday afternoon we hit the
road! (2001)

Nine of us on a crazy four day bike
camping trip
- none of us were prepared for the adventure, the excitement, and what
happened when Sean took his shirt off. (1999)
|
 |
A short trip, Horne lake was a small crew
but a lot of
fun. Other trips have had lots of hiking but this trip was
dominated by caving and canoeing. The trip was done in September
of 1998.

 |
I had just bought my camera, basically so
I
could record trips like this. This was a fairly long trip - four
days, and I loved shooting it. I had my small tripod (you'll see
lots of pictures of it), and I shot six rolls of film. The trip
was done in August of 1997.
|
 |
The first camping trip where I brought a
camera - a
disposable 35mm camera from Kodak. The pictures are hazy and dark
but it was a great camping trip. The trip was done in August of 1996.
|
 |
The trip that inspired them all! Our
first trip in the summer after grade 12 (1992),
Heather's Dad took us out to Portland Island and let us fend for
ourselves. (Eric Jones brought a camera - these are his photos)
The following year we went to Gold
Stream, but there are no known photos. |
